Las Piñatas Kitchen is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

What we've done

  • All pages pass automated accessibility checks using axe-core (zero critical violations).
  • Color contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA on all text and interactive elements, including our festive brand colors.
  • The site is fully navigable by keyboard — use Tab to move between links and buttons, Enter to activate them.
  • A “Skip to main content” link is available at the top of every page for screen reader and keyboard users.
  • All images include descriptive alt text, or are marked as decorative where appropriate.
  • Interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) have visible focus indicators and accessible labels.
  • The contact form is fully accessible — all fields have visible labels, errors are announced to screen readers.
  • Page structure uses proper heading hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3).
  • The site works with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver (iOS/macOS), TalkBack (Android), and NVDA/JAWS (Windows).

Known limitations

  • The online ordering widget (ReddyOrder) is a third-party embed. We have no control over its accessibility. If you experience issues ordering online, please call us directly and we'll take your order over the phone.
  • PDF menus are not provided on this site — menu items are HTML-only to ensure full accessibility.

Technical details

  • Built with Next.js 16 + React 19 — semantic HTML5 elements throughout.
  • ARIA roles and landmarks used where HTML semantics alone are insufficient.
  • Motion: decorative animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Text can be resized up to 200% in browser settings without loss of content or functionality.
